One of the questions I get asked the most about Demi Colour is what brushes should be used with it. To answer this question, I’ve created this Beginner’s Guide to Demi Colour Brushes.

The Five Demi Colour Brushes
Demi Colour has five brushes that are specially designed to be used with this innovative line of makeup. These dual-ended brushes have wispy ends that are also tapered. With this combination, you can achieve a light touch of Demi Colour while also providing exact coverage right where you need it.
Let’s look at each of the five new brushes as we continue through this Beginner’s Guide to Demi Colour Brushes.
Demi Shape Brush
The Demi Shape Brush sculpts and defines the natural features of your face. Use the larger end of the Shape Brush to provide a light sculpting effect along your jaw, cheekbones, and hairline. And then use the smaller end to provide a light touch of blush to the apples of your cheeks.
The Shape Brush provides light Demi Colour coverage, which is meant to be buildable. When you use this brush to sculpt and provide definition, you shouldn’t feel weighed down by the amount of makeup you’re putting on!
Demi Bright Brush
Next up is the Demi Brush. The Demi Bright Brush is the perfect brush to use when you want to filter any distractions from your face. This brush will give you precise control while applying Demi Colour makeup. Use this brush to brighten your skin tone using the color theory techniques Demi Colour is based on. The Demi Bright Brush provides light coverage in the exact spots that your face needs it the most, so your makeup will feel light and undetectable.
Demi Blur Brush
The Demi Blur Brush gives you a targeted contour in the areas you want a little extra sculpting. But the best part about this brush is that you don’t have to blend your contour after you apply it. Like the name suggests, this brush blurs the contour right into your skin, giving you a sculpted look without having to blend. This brush is great if you want to enhance finer details.
Demi Wash Brush
The Demi Wash Brush provides a very light layer of makeup over a larger, uniform area on your face. You can also use this brush to provide a whisper of blush to your cheeks. This brush will help you achieve a radiant glow without applying a heavy layer of makeup.
Demi Spot Brush
The last brush is the Demi Spot Brush. This brush is essential when using Demi Colour. It targets the super fine details on your face that need a little extra color filtering, like fine veins, small blemishes, freckles, or spots of melasma. With this brush, you can pinpoint the exact areas that need to be neutralized, without putting any excess color in places that you don’t need it. This allows your skin’s natural luminosity to shine through!
How to Care for your Demi Colour Brushes
This Beginner’s Guide to Demi Colour Brushes wouldn’t be complete without talking about how to care for your brushes. These brushes are an investment, so it’s important you take care of them properly so they last as long as possible! That’s why I highly recommend using the Seint Brush Cleanser to clean these brushes regularly. This cleanser kills bacteria and removes makeup residue that can build up on your brushes. You simply spray your brush with the cleanser and then wipe the brush on a cloth or paper towel until clean. And an added bonus? You don’t have to wait for the Seint Brush Cleanser to dry! If you use this cleanser regularly, I promise your brushes will stay soft and conditioned, feeling like new every time you use them!
I also strongly recommend storing your brushes correctly. They need to be stored in a case that will protect the bristles on both ends of the brush! Most makeup brushes have bristles on only one end, and so most makeup cases only protect one end of your brush. However, the Seint Brush Holder will protect the dual-ended Seint brushes. Simply slide your brushes into the case, fold it up properly, and your brushes will be protected anywhere you take them!
Which Brushes Should You Start With As A Beginner?
I know these brushes are an investment, and it can be overwhelming and expensive to buy all five right away. So, since this is a Beginner’s Guide to Demi Colour Brushes, I want to talk about the two brushes I recommend starting with: the Shape Brush and the Spot Brush. The Wash Brush allows you to achieve a light layer of makeup over a uniform area on your face. You can also use it to apply your sculpt and blush. With the Spot Brush, you can hone in on specific areas on your face that need to be filtered so you’re neutralizing the excess colors on your face exactly where you want.
And that’s it! I hope this Beginner’s Guide to Demi Colour Brushes has been helpful! Let me tell you, there is magic in using the right brushes with Demi Colour. The makeup will go on effortlessly, and you’ll love the finished product! Let me know if you have any questions (you can contact me HERE) or if you’d like me to help you get started with Demi Colour.
