One of the best things about Seint makeup is that you can create your own custom makeup palette! This ensures that your makeup will fit your needs and likes all year round. No more wasted products from buying a palette with only a few colors that look good on you, and then leaving the rest of the colors untouched. With Seint makeup, everything in your palette will be shades and products of your choosing. And then when something runs out, all you have to do is simply replace that single tin, leaving the rest of your palette untouched. Having a custom palette means you get to pick colors that match your skin and make you look your very best. And I offer FREE color matches for all my clients here. But if you already have an idea of what you need–you can start building your palette on your own. And for people who like to choose their colors based on a season color analysis, Seint’s custom palettes work great for that too! Since we are smack dab in the middle of winter, here are some ideas for a True Winter makeup palette.
Makeup Colors for the True Winter Palette
If you are a true winter in your color analysis, it’s important to pick colors that enhance your natural cool undertones. This means you need to make sure you avoid warm tones and earthy colors that go against the natural coolness of your coloring. People who have a true winter skin type can wear colors that are sharp, vivid, and high-contrast. All the colors in their palette should have blue undertones instead of yellow.
And when it comes to makeup for a true winter, it’s important to remember that a high-contrast look will look the most natural on you!
Am I a True Winter?
While I’m not trained in color analysis for seasons, I can give you some tips for figuring out if you’re a true winter. Here are 3 things to check for:
- High contrast in colors between eyes, skin, and hair
- Cool undertones in the skin (think icy-winter)
- Lips have a natural cool pink or cool red hue
Some famous true winter examples are Katy Perry, Zoey Deschanel, Anne Hathaway, Lauren Graham, and Janelle Monae.
While it would require in-person testing to 100% verify that these people are true winters, they are good examples of having high contrast between their eyes, hair, and skin colors.
How to Build a True Winter Makeup Palette
Once you’ve determined that you’re a true winter, it is time to start building the perfect true winter makeup palette! To build a true winter makeup palette, you’ll want to start with your foundation. Seint’s IIID foundation is a great option, especially because it can be color matched to your exact skin tone.

Seint’s IIID foundation is made up of four parts: Highlight, Contour, Lip + Cheek, and Illuminator. With these 4 colors, you’ll be able to create the perfect look for you!
Every person will have their own unique foundation needs, so it’s important to reach out to me to ensure you get what will look best on you. In general though, as a true winter, you’ll want to avoid makeup with a strong yellow or peach undertone.
Some examples of Seint IIID highlight colors that have cooler undertones are: Versailles, Athens, and Candlelit.

Lip+Cheek Colors to Consider
When it comes to choosing a lip+cheek color, Seint has a wide variety of options! As part of Seint’s IIID foundation, Seint’s Lip+Cheeks fit easily into your makeup palette and routine. You can put an entire face of Seint makeup on in just five minutes. See how here.
If you want to keep up with the cooler tones for your lip+cheeks, some good choices would be Lovespell, Black Cherry, Royal, and Sangria. To see Lovespell on me, you can watch this video!
Should I wear a Bronzer as a True Winter?
Usually, I LOVE bronzer, and for most people, it gives them the sunkissed glow of their dreams. With true winter complexions though, it might be best to avoid it. As a general rule, you don’t want to add any warmth to your face. You want to keep that icy, high-contrast look of winter.
However, if you love bronzer, then please remember these are just guidelines. You can rock whatever look you love. And Seint has several beautiful cream bronzers that will go great with any makeup!
Building an Eyeshadow Palette for a True Winter Complexion
One of my favorite things about Seint is its expansive eyeshadow line. And their quality is unmatched. All of their eyeshadows are super pigmented and blend like a dream. Plus, each eyeshadow comes in an individual tin, allowing you to curate the perfect eyeshadow palette for you. This means that just like all of Seint’s other products when an eyeshadow runs out, you don’t have to throw the entire palette away. You can simply replace the single tin of eyeshadow. If you haven’t tried them yet, then you are truly missing out!
Seint has over 90 eyeshadow shades, so there is a lot to choose from! For a true winter palette, shades like As If, Denim, Midnight, and London are great shades to have in your makeup palette!
It can be scary to do such a bold color on your eyes, but it can also really pay off. Especially in the right setting. In this video, I demonstrate how to achieve a really fun and cute purple eyeshadow look. I did mine with more warm, limited edition colors, but the process and technique would still be the same using your own custom eyeshadow palette!
